We understand that not every student is able to provide a copy of a valid passport at the time of application. You will be asked to provide a valid ID in order to complete your Identity Verification.
You can submit another current official government-issued ID. Occasionally, we will accept an expired passport, but please contact us for assistance on this.
Your application will be reviewed for admission based on your academic merits. Therefore, you can still be accepted to the program without a valid passport. The next step is to ensure you will have a valid Visa so you can attend the program.
If accepted, you will be asked to upload a valid passport to your admitted student portal in order to obtain your Form I-20, which is required for the F-1 Visa.
The sooner you can submit a copy of a valid passport, the better, as that allows you more time to purchase airfare, secure housing, and make other travel arrangements.
Please contact International Student Services if you have further questions on this matter.
