Berkeley Global Access (BGA) Program
The Berkeley Global Access (BGA) program is a flexible, multidisciplinary study-abroad experience. Berkeley Global Computing and Data Science (CDS Global) Program
The Berkeley Global Computing and Data Science (CDS Global) program is a specialized academic semester designed for high-achieving students focused on taking courses in data science, computing, and statistics. This program is built in partnership with UC Berkeley College of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS).
- Curriculum: Focused on data, statistical prediction, machine learning, and AI ethics. Includes a required seminar (CDSS X410) where you’ll examine how AI is reshaping the future of work and a technical core course (DATA C100 or STAT 154).
- Enrollment: Reserved seating in one of the two core courses; reserved/priority seating in select CDSS elective courses.
- Prerequisites: Core courses and electives require strong foundational knowledge in calculus, linear algebra, and Python programming. Your academic background will be reviewed to ensure you meet these requirements.
- Instructors: Renowned UC Berkeley faculty and CDSS lecturers.
- Location: Main UC Berkeley campus.
