We understand that not every student is able to provide a valid passport scan at the time of application. You can first submit your application with a copy of an expired passport, or other current official government-issued ID.
Your application will be reviewed for admission based on your academic merits. Therefore, you can still be accepted to the program without a valid passport. The next step is to ensure you will have a valid Visa so you can attend the program.
If accepted, you will be asked to upload a valid passport to your admitted student portal in order to obtain your Form I-20, which is required for the F-1 Visa.
The sooner you can submit a copy of a valid passport, the better, as that allows you more time to purchase airfare, secure housing, and make other travel arrangements.
Please contact International Student Services if you have further questions on this matter.
