The Berkeley Haas Global Access Program (BHGAP) is divided into two groups to best meet the learning needs of our students. Every term, we admit a diverse cohort of students including current undergraduates, current and former graduate students, and working professionals who have years of experience in their field.
The two Tracks were created to ensure that students have access to the courses and curriculum that are appropriate to their level of study. The BHGAP Curriculum page (here) outlines the courses available in each Track.
The Undergraduate Track is designed for students currently pursuing more advanced courses in their undergraduate studies, typical of what third-year or fourth-year students would take. Students in this Track have a designated curriculum consisting of courses at the undergraduate level, as indicated by the course code UGBA. Students in the Undergraduate Track are not allowed to take courses from the Graduate Track. Additionally, Undergraduate Track students have access to some exclusive UGBA courses which will be published here on the department website, under the heading 'Concurrent Enrollment'. This list is published near the start of the semester, around the time of enrollment.
The Graduate Track is designed for students currently pursuing Graduate-level studies (post-Bachelor's), including those who have already obtained a Graduate degree or have 3+ years of full-time working experience. The courses in this Track are primarily at the graduate/MBA level, but may include some Undergraduate-level courses. Students in the Graduate Track can take courses from both their own Track, as well as the Undergraduate Track.
If you have specific questions or concerns about which Track you will be placed in, you can contact the BHGAP Department at bhgap@berkeley.edu.
