The Berkeley Global Access Program (BGA) is not intended as a pathway into UC Berkeley. It is a visiting student experience that gives you Berkeley course credit, which students may use towards completion of their undergraduate degree at their home university. It is important to note that acceptance of transfer credit is always up to the receiving institution. Accordingly, visiting students must connect with their home programs to confirm approval and/or equivalency of Berkeley classes they intend to take.
With that said, BGA does host a variety of graduate school admissions workshops to help students prepare for the graduate school application process. Additionally, successful completion of the BGA program and the potential for letters of recommendation can bolster graduate school applications. However, students will not get special consideration for a UC Berkeley degree program because of their participation in BGA. You will still need to meet the same application requirements and be evaluated against other applicants when applying to UC Berkeley main campus.
