The Berkeley Global Access Program allows visiting students from around the world to study at the University of California, Berkeley for one or two semesters taking courses alongside matriculated Berkeley students. You can enroll in campus courses across many disciplines including social sciences, humanities, arts, languages, engineering, mathematics, computer science, biological sciences, and more!
At the end of your studies, you may request a UC Berkeley transcript and discuss transferring credit towards your undergraduate program with your home university. It is important to note that acceptance of credit is always up to the receiving institution and students must confer with their home institution regarding approval and equivalency of the UC Berkeley classes they intend to take.
This program is targeted at visiting students currently enrolled in their undergraduate or graduate studies. Although most of our students are undergraduates, students can also take graduate-level courses. We also gladly welcome life-long learners who have already graduated and wish to return to the academic setting.
