Participation in a Berkeley Global visiting student program is not a direct pathway into UC Berkeley and has no guaranteed influence on admission to any degree program. You will still need to meet the same admission requirements and be evaluated against other applicants when applying to degree programs at Berkeley or other universities.
Our programs are a visiting student experience, allowing you to take courses that give you Berkeley academic credit, which you may use towards completion of your studies at your home university. It is important to note that acceptance of transfer credit is always decided by the receiving institution.
Students who are interested in applying to a UC Berkeley degree program directly, can begin a formal application through the UC Berkeley main campus.
That said, attending our visiting student programs can contribute positively to your applications for graduate school and jobs.
